Alp Arslan was the second sultan of the Seljuk Empire and was known for his military prowess and leadership. He led the Seljuks to victory in many battles, including the Battle of Manzikert in 1071, which led to the Seljuk conquest of Anatolia. Alp Arslan was born in 1029 and died in 1072. He was also known as Muhammet and his name means 'Brave Lion'.
